When you are in labour / for your delivery:
To reach the Maternity Centre doctor on call, please call 905 528 5553
For our deliveries, we are members of the on-call group at the Maternity Centre of Hamilton. You may be aware of this clinic, made up of experienced family doctors with a special interest in pregnancy care and deliveries. We are very familiar with these doctors and have complete confidence in their skills to provide the best standard of care during pregnancy and delivery to women and their babies.
When you are in labour and admitted to the hospital, you will be looked after by the doctor on call that day for the Maternity Centre. We will also take turns being on call with this group. You can always reach the doctor on call at the number above.
To reach the resident following your pregnancy, please call our answering service at 905 577 8647
IMPORTANT: If you are being followed by one of the resident doctors at Stonechurch Family Health Centre, please contact them before going to the hospital. If you were not able to do so, please let the nurse at the hospital know, so they can contact the resident doctor to come to the hospital, and help out in your care.
After your delivery:
If you were delivered by one of the other doctors, the hospital will inform us of your delivery. If at all possible, we will be involved in your and your baby’s care in hospital.
Please let us know if you have any questions. Looking after patients during their pregnancy and assisting at the birth of their baby has always been a very important part of our practice. We look forward to working with you and sharing in this exciting time.
Dr. Katalin Ivanyi, Dr. Sarah Kinzie, and Dr. Heather Waters
