What is Counselling?
Counselling aims at helping people who wish to make changes in their lives. It is not about giving advice, or to tell people what to do. Rather, it is about encouraging people to gain new insights and perspectives of their lives.
Is counselling available to everyone?
Counselling is a service provided to Rostered patients of this clinic.
Who provides counselling services?
Our
mental health team consists of three registered social workers all of
whom have a Master of Social Work degree as well as extensive
experience in dealing/working with a variety of mental health issues.
What services are offered?
We offer individual, couple, family and group counselling.
How can one access service?
Individual, Couple, Family:
Services
for individual, couple and family counselling can be accessed by
referral from one's health care professional (physician, nurse,
psychiatrist, dietitian)
Groups:
One can self refer to groups which are listed on this website, displayed in the clinic newsletter, and in the waiting room.
